The 27 April 2007, was the day that we almost lost Ava. I'm sure she would prefer if I didn't publish her entire medical history on the internet, but I will say that her Doctor's were amazed she had made it that far in life and weren't sure if she would make it through her operation. Luckily for us, she did.
She was eight weeks old.

The Doctor's and Nurses at The Royal Children's Hospital are the most wonderful people you could ever meet. It is so overwhelming that someone who has never meet you, is happy to be woken at 1am to come in and save a little girls life at 3am. They held her and treated her as if she was their own child. They have a very special place in my heart.
Now, I'm going to distract you with something shiny and quickly post a post about Buzz Lightyear, just so this post will slide quietly down the page. xxox

doctors and nursers are truly walking angels. some of the kindest, caring, open and giving people i have met.
