Sleepy Pom and a Japanese Kite Master

Yesterday I had another fun day crafting with the Brown Owls.  I took "Sleepy Pom" from Donna Wilson's book to work on. Considering I'm a pretty basic knitter and my Mum wasn't close by to call on for help, I'm pretty happy with how things went.  I had a wonderful morning chatting with Abbey, Mel and Sandra.  It was also nice to meet some new girls who were along for the first time.
On Saturday, I took the girls to the Redcliffe Kitefest where we met up with Uncle Matt and Auntie Jo.   It was fun and colourful and there was a Japanese Kite Master there and you could make a kite with him.  That would of been fun, but the girls are a bit too young for that, maybe next year. Ash also won his soccer match on Saturday which is always good and we had a wonderful evening at Brooke and John's engagement party at the Brisbane Jazz Club.  It was really nice to get dressed up and see some wonderful friends.
*edited* If you are wondering what I am doing posting things in my blog at 4:20am, it is because I have a cheeky little saschwatch called Ava that likes a bowl of cereal at 3am.
