A Day at the Zoo

Today we went to Australia Zoo and it was just perfect.  Ava loved the Otters and the Ponies while Piper loved the Elephants and the Giant Land Tortoise.

I think this little guy was my favourite.  He had an injury and had to wear a custom made Driz-A-Bone to keep dry.  How can anyone possibly resist a Wombat in a raincoat?  I also loved the Tasmanian Devils.  They are a lot bigger than I thought and apparently cuddly.  While we were there, one of them crawled into her Keepers lap for a cuddle and fell asleep.  It was so nice to see.
