Ash has gone away for three weeks and before he left we spent the day together at GoMA.  We had breakfast and then headed up to the gallery.  Ava normally loves it in there, but she was obsessed with seeing a dot installation that was no longer there and became increasingly upset.  So, we walked around for a little while and tried to find something else for her, but it wasn't working.  So I took her to her* second favourite place, the book shop.
I won't go through all the books.  Just my favourite.  The first one is Counting in the Garden, by Emily Hrudy and illustrated by Patrick Hruby.  Felix loves it and the illustrations are amazing.  It's such a fun book.
The next two books are Make a Mobile and Paper Play by Lydia Crook.  They are amazing and I love that they allow kids to become absorbed in the book by drawing in them and pulling them apart, so I can't wait to play with these and see what the kids create.
The Oz Alphabet Flash Cards  by Ozzilla are also great.  They contain fun letters like U for Ute, D for Dingo and V for Verandah.  I haven't photographed them, as Ava is constantly playing with them and gets upset if I try and take her picture (even if it's only of her hands). So, just click on the links and you will see how great they are.

*It's probably more my favourite place, but she loves books and it calmed her, so lets call it her favourite (for argument sake).
