I decided to let Piper decorate her books for school this year. She is in Year 2 and I learnt a very important lesson about letting go and allowing her to create her books on her own, the way she wants and not how I think they should be.
On another note, where did all these plastic toys come from?!!? I worked so hard to buy ethical toys and all of a sudden our life is filled with plastic. When the girls started school, all the plastic toys slowly crept into our home as that seems to be what everyone else plays with at school and it just felt really mean to constantly say no. I guess perhaps the secret to balancing these toys is to limit the amount that they can have.
